The Homelab

Description:

The Homelab is my tech playground, housing a diverse array of computers, network gear, and equipment gathered over the years. Nestled discreetly in a closet, this dedicated space serves as my experimental haven—a place where I push boundaries, acquire knowledge, and tinker with an ever-evolving array of technologies and configurations.

At its core, my Homelab features a multi-node VM cluster, allowing me to explore the intricacies of virtualization and create dynamic computing environments. A custom-built router running pfSense forms the backbone of my network setup, providing robust security, traffic management, and unparalleled control over my home network.

Within this environment, I leverage Ansible, an automation tool, to streamline and orchestrate the management of various components. Ansible empowers me to efficiently deploy updates, configure systems, and maintain consistency across my Homelab infrastructure.

Moreover, I use Docker to seamlessly run and manage several of my active projects. Whether it’s hosting multiple WordPress sites or running essential services that keep my system safe and secure, Docker allows for seamless containerization and scalability.
